Monday 6th September - Lilliput Submarine – Programme 9
Today, during Lilliput Submarine, we will be talking about one of the most beautiful creatures found in nature – the whale. Many consider the whale to be the master of the sea. It is interesting to note that like human beings and dolphins, whales are mammals - that is, they need air to breathe. Did you know that whales give milk to their young, just as humans do? Did you know that whales could sing?
As usual, we have the spot dedicated to local music as well as the story reading by Ruth.

Tuesday 7th September - Lilliput Story – Programme 9
British JK Rowling and her sister Diane became friends with Ian and Vikki Potter. Whilst on board of a train, Rowling got so bored, that she started inventing a story. Thus this author created one of the most popular wizards the world has ever read about – that is the character of Harry Potter. During today’s Lilliput Story, we will not only be finding out abut this book and also about Rowling; but we will also be investigating stories and books which are considered to include magical material the likes of “The Lord of the Rings”, “The Chronicles of Narnia”, “Shrek” and “The Beauty and The Beast”; amongst others.
Ruth will continue reading the classical story “Oliver Twist”. The spot focusing on the local music scene is also included.

Wednesday 8th September - Lilliput Sketch – Programme 9
Last week, during Lilliput Sketch, we started interviewing the members of the graphics department of ONE and we will be finishing this interview today.
The questions these animators are being asked are all related with the art of animation and with their particular work. But in their free time, what sort of animated movies and cartoons do the animators watch? How difficult is it to created animated characters which are memorable and original?

Friday 10th September - Lilliput – Programme 9: Las Vegas
Today, during Lilliput, we will be talking about Las Vegas and also about the Far West. When one mentions Las Vegas, you automatically remember about the spectacular shows and everyone has heard of the cowboys and Indians of the Far West. We will see how the Far West inspired various films and stories and we will also learn about the importance of knowing how to ride a horse well. During Lilliput we will watch the Indians whilst they sing and pray to their gods for food… A couple of weeks ago, Ruth read the story of how Christmas Father went for a vacation in Scotland. Today, we will see what happened when he went on holiday to Las Vegas!
Ruth Frendo, Mary Anne Zammit and Mariah Mifsud Bonnici are the presenters. The production is being taken care of by Pro. Motion made up of Ruth Frendo and Charlo C Bonnici; whilst the animation and editing are in the expert hands of Charlo C Bonnici.
